Sometimes I get in a rush to get photos edited, CD’s burned, and have it all posted online and I forget to stop and remember how much I love my job. It’s people like these two who remind me that I’m a blessed girl to be able to do what I love and have fun doing it! I’ve known Anna for a few years now…I shot her brother’s wedding in 2009 and her cousin’s wedding in 2010. At every wedding, the question was always, “when is it your turn?!?” Dirk proposed in June and two days later Anna was already emailing me, asking me to shoot their wedding! I’m so excited that I get to be involved in another Hunt family event!
We had so much fun during this shoot. Dirk is hilarious and he makes Anna smile and burst into laughter a lot. I could truly see the joy in their relationship. I admit…he even had me laughing a lot too!! It was pretty windy and a little chilly, but I love the shots we got. I can’t wait for their wedding in May!
I suggested they play in the leaves, so I told them to pick up a pile and throw them at each other. Dirk picked up a huge pile and literally THREW them at Anna! I think it took us about 5 minutes to get all the leaves out of her hair. Sorry Anna!

Audrey Neal - Makenzie, you did a gorgeous job on these photos. Anna was one of my cheerleaders at Carlisle for several years, and I just adore both her and Dirk. I think you did a wonderful job of capturing THEM, and I wish them a wonderful future!
Rhonda - I am Dirk’s sister n law and soon to be Anna’s! You did an awesome job with the pictures. I love both of them and became emotional looking at these beautiful pictures. I see the love and laughter in the pics. very nice!
